Help choosing Santos 100 38mm?

Folks,

Looking for a Santos 100 38mm SS. From what I read the best rep is the XL size, ie 42mm, but it would be way too big for my wrist so I am looking at the 38mm. I see PT has 4 different 38mms but not sure which one is the best rep so your input would be much appreciated before I pull the trigger! Or are there other better options out there?

As a side note, many posts seems to have designated XL as a 38mm not sure why or am I missing something.

38 is same as 42, XL...
only two sizes, lady size and male size (38, 42...same same)
apart from the Chrono that is a little bigger

check always caseback it has to be 2656, in SS, TT or any of the non chrono.

how is the cabochon / crown in comparison to gen and how is leather strap

Hi, I have one where the caseback is 2456. It was supposed to be the Ultimate Santos 100 XL edition but I guess it isn't? The watch does use screws at the lugs to attach the strap and I read somewhere that only the Ultimate edition uses screws rather than push pins. Is that right? If it isn't the Ultimate edition, any idea which edition/maker is the one with the wrong caseback?

same question for me. I am interested in knowing the difference between santos with 2456 caseback (refered to as ultimate with asian movement on torobravo, 298 dollars) and the santos with 2656 caseback (swiss movement, 438 dollars on torobravos).
