Gen Strap for Rep Cartier

Hello,

I have been proposed by a serious Cartier Seller to buy a gen strap for my rep cartier at the price of 220€ (public price 325€).

What do you think ?
Is it accurate to spend so more for a replica when I can buy a good quality strap for far less ?

I really need you opinion on the subject.

Well, just about everyone will agree that quality matters! Then the question is, does it matter to you to have the strap itself branded?
Since you've asked for opinions, I'll give you mine. Even a genuine watch strap will wear out with use, and need to be replaced. There's no expectation that the owner of a genuine watch would replace the strap with another genuine strap. So, I always go for quality regardless of brand for a leather strap. I would spend half of what he's proposing on a beautiful French or Italian strap from one of the boutique makers. There's good threads to research on here about them.

Try Ebay. Just bought a genuine Cartier strap on there for €90 and it was practically brand new.

But the strap for a tank MC are very rare...
