Contacted him last night via email and he responded today with answers to the 2 watches I was interested in. After a very quick response to my response, he sent me QC and after a few emails it was completed. I'm very excited to work with him beyond this first piece, and even more excited to receive a Tai Chi from him! +1 for TD without hesitation....

Nice! I worked with Sead years ago on ten pieces and am currently working with him on a Clean Factory Daytona 116515. Keep us posted on the efforts, and make sure to post pictures!

Update:

I received my watch a little over a week ago and have spent some time with it on the wrist, thought I would update everyone. I will take pics of it with my Gen Planet Ocean 215.30.44.21.01.002 (1/4 orange bezel) for comparison later.

TL:DR Great communication, quick shipping, packaged well, great looking piece IMO, will purchase from him again!

PLANET OCEAN 600MCO‑AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER GMT 43.5 MM "Tai Chi"

215.30.44.22.01.001
  • Total product weight (approx.): 226 g
  • Between lugs: 21 mm
  • Thickness: 17.0 mm
  • Case: Steel
  • Case diameter: 43.5 mm
  • Water resistance: 60 bar (600 metres / 2000 feet)
This watch-
Weight: 218.2913 g
Lugs: 21mm

Within a few hours of my email inquiry he had emailed me back answering my questions about the watch and the process (first time purchasing like this), send me an extensive QC email, and send payment via Zelle to complete the purchase. He sent tracking within a day or 2 IIRC and from door to door it was less than a month. You can never say that something like this is overpacked but it was darn close- 2 plastic bags, several layers of bubble wrap, the warranty card, etc in a tidy little shipment.

I adjusted the bracelet by removing links and testing the bracelet slider, all are in working order. Set the time and date and put it on for my first day of wear.

Weight and feel are super close to gen if not spot on, the bracelet needed an oil bath but I expected that after reading through the forums, Reddit, and other places and that helped. Seems to stay true to time, within a few seconds per day but I have yet to really pay attention to that to measure. Finish is great to my eye but I do not have a loupe. With reading glasses (highly technical procedure lol) I am very happy with the overall fit and finish but admittedly I'm wet behind the ears with this new hobby. You are welcome to give your .02 but I have zero complaints as of now with my purchase.

Thanks for walking me through the process Sead, it is much appreciated and you've earned my business without question!

So far so good, power reserve is over ~48 hours (put it in my watch box to wear something else for 2 days), and it doesn't seem to be +/- a few seconds a day. I'll need a few consecutive days with wear with it to see for sure. Had compliments on it at the office which tells me enough! Thanks guys!
