What I find incredibly interesting is the number of other vessels that are currently being held captive. There are some Canadian, French, Italian and Greek ships being held just a few hundred miles from where all of this drama took place. And from what I can tell, none of those countries are planning to take their ships back.
I guess when you dont have a proper navy, the best thing to do is pay the ransom and hope to get everything/everyone back in one piece.
On a side note, one of my PMC blogs today reported that three of the largest PMC's in the world are currently recruiting for positions in their maritime divisions.
Maybe its time I grab a life vest and go float around Africa for awhile...
