Love the PAMs and was wondering what to get out of the gate? I see a lot of folks like the 111H. Seems like a classic to me. Either that or the "Fiddy".

Go for the 111. Great, timeless, simple and no collection is complete without one. After that, maybe a fiddy or 196.......or.............

The 111H is a great start in collecting ( or do I mean infecting!) Panerai.

if you have a large wrist - 1950 could be a good fit for you. At first it seems like you are wearing an alarm clock on your wrist. But then you get used to it. At this point, after wearing mine for a month straight I don't even notice its size.
If you have wrists under 7" - you should probably go for the 111h /177 unless you like calling a lot of attention to your wrist.

if you are a pam fan - the fiddy is nice! a pretty big watch, but it looks great if you are comfortable wearing a larger style. It's simple, elegant and massive.
If you drive a hummer or a dump truck - get the big bad fiddy!

A "FIDDY" 127 or a "Destro" 217 . 217 was my first I am not big wristed but it has really grown on me .....now I need a BIG 127 FIDDY for my other arm so I can wear them at the same time .......wait am I getting PAM FEVER.......OOH NO.... :twisted:
