Is that a wine or soap? Pics or it never happened. On second thought if it's soap, I will take your word for it.

Thanks Guru! :)

Now were're talk'n!!!!!

My usual favorite is any Grgich Hills red. Especially their Cabernet or Red Zinfandel. I always keep a good stock in the house.

Stag's Leap Cab is a nice bottle. At ~$75/ea, it's not an everyday wine for me, but it's good on special occasions.

Ever since I watched the movie "Bottle Shock" I've wanted to try some Chateau Montelena, but both that Chardonnay and the Cab are $100+ here.

Wow! What a question... This is going to be hard. Ok, I'll start with some of my favourite Aussie wines...

Clonakilla Shiraz (and Shiraz Viognier)

Penfold's St Henri Shiraz

(and no, I'm not going to include Penfold's Grange in the list. It's good, but it's priced for idiots...)

Leeuwin Estate Chardonnay

Petaluma Coonawarra Cabernet Merlot

These are the ones I can think of... And they would definitely have to be in my top 10... will think of more later on!

Yes...yes....Stag's Leap (I had a bottle of their Merlot about a month ago - not a bad price for the Merlot, I think it was around $40 or so).

I'll have to try the Aussie wines above too.

Keep them coming - you can never have enough good wines to try. This should be a Sticky for sure!!!!

Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy 2006. A thick full bodied Shiraz that can be had $50-70. 96 points by Wine Advocate. Paired really well with the new 7 20 4 cigar!

Thanks for jump-starting my noggin, Roo. I'm a BIG Penfold's fan. Wonderful wines across the range, there.

The Casillero del Diablo winery from Argentina is good, too. I enjoy both their Malbec and their Cab. Priced under $15 here.

Red Wines ...
1. Peter Michael Les Pavots ... had a 1993 vintage of this once and fell in love.
2. Beaux Freres Pinot Noir ... excellent pinot from Oregon
3. Phelps Insignia ... I liked it before Wine Spectator made it a Wine of the Year in 2005.
4. Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon ... can't remember where I first had this one, but at least the name stuck with me.
5. Bodegas Alion ... Spanish gem, and reasonably priced if you can find it.

Ohhh that's hard. I'm a red fan myself. For a special occasion it's a vintage bottle of maybe a chateau mouton rothschild. Weekends call for a Silver Oak, Justin Isosceles, Heitz Cellar Martha Vinyard... Sooooooo many!

Someone's been visiting Amador Co., I see. :)

I don't care much for Renwood wines, but that's only because we like to frequent the smaller wineries. Lots of them use grapes from that Grandpere vineyard, which on Vino Nocettos property, I believe.

Ever been to Dry Town Cellars?
