OK, now for the real deal: wanted to post some pics of this beauty before it had to be given TLC for a wobbly crown.

I promised a good board mate I would get out some photos, as without his, and others' help, this would simply not have happened. I'd been scouring around for a MM + Molnija 3602 for a while now - a few depressing dead ends, but finally, a breakthnrough and I couldn't be more chuffed.

Some salient points for this MM:

1) circa 60s MOLNIJA 3602 movement. This 18J movt has a MOLNIJA "Lighting" [clock logo]; silver (non-blued) screws, Rolex style 'gears

2) Vintage 47mm Luminor 6152/1 case with the olde style screw lug pins (although the gen should be sporting spring pins - read, hens' teeth, as difficult to source - enzo may know something more on this ...)

3) a simply AMAZINGLY good enzo vintage MM dial, "enzo aged"

4) Destro style CG, lever down

5) plastic-filled indices w/ milder lume indices for that 'I'm too old now to sustain a ... glow' look :)

- the AR 'glass (not plexi - YET) is slightly scratched, although I toned this down in the dial shots to show the hands and indices to their best advantage

6) window Brevettato case back

7) no bridges for now - BUT, I heard a rumor that enzo is designing some to make suitable movements look really close to the 1940s gen :D

Got to dash to the airport to pick up the Better Half - hope you like my first shots!

F*ing awesome. This is the best I have seen yet. That dial is the shit. This looks so good I am amazed.

That movt is really something. I would keep the movt exactly as it is.

Strap is perfect too!!

I just noticed the 3 stamped on the CG, very nice!!

And verry observant of you. It's true: this hobby can be like "Where's Wally?"!

I was told by someone much more knowledgable than me, that the gen CGs were only stamped between the #'s

-> 1 to 6

or, uno, due, tre, quattro, cinque, sei. Or, if you are in CHI-town, 'One Deep Dish Pizza" place, "Two Deep Dish ..." don't think there's a Tre in this instance :D

Thanks mate! The base materal is Tuscan leather, a MF 1942 - but I can't take any credit for the effect, in the sense of purposeful design - it was early days, for me, and I read a few posts on RWG, includng one by CJ, and thought,: "WTF, why not throw a perfectly good Italian strap into a bucket ...", leave in the sun etc etc.

Then I looked aghast at the result and went, "WTF, what the hell are you doing throwing money - literally (dyes running) - down the drain .."

So, I think my very first diss'd strap was "arsey" in the extreme!

Sure glad I kept it, though! And thanks for assuming I was that skilled :D

G'day az - no, I leave the crazy to you - :D

I can't take credit - let's just say I got a LOT - the vast majority - of help here from the maker.

Re WM: a great business model, for those that can afford him!

Thanks for the thought, anyways - I still think of your Oxy bath as a model for inspired madness :) I'm still learning about more about, than being able to effect this piece.

But the learning, is good! (there's a subconsious Klinkism in there somewheres),

Whatever it was it worked. It doesn't look "forced distressed" like some are sold, or sand paper abuse.

It has a very natural used look to it. Some quick distressed straps look like a complete mess if not done right.

You can patent a new technique... BBB bucket distressing! lol

Wonderful work, as always. Now, steel yourself for the 'PM-alanche'

I also owe CJ a debt of gratitude, parts and other behind the scenes assistance.

Re: 6152/1 Vintage MM - first look & comment (burner)

Amazing Rep Of A Vintage!

Good to hear That somebody Might Rep Rolex Cal618 Cóte De Geneve Bridges, Also The Tread or Tooth-wheels Should be Replicated, Yours Look Good BTW but Molinija Usually has Ugly Wheels.

I would be intersted in Custom made Bridges, Thougt of it but I don't own the Machinery.

I think enzo did such a good job on this one. BTW the photos are the best you have taken yet. The photos show what a wonderful job enzo did on this dial.

I love the russian movt - I think it looks better the a rolex stamped one personaly.

these enzo projects are rare as rare can be but when one happens it is pure gold!
