This may be hoping for something that will never be... but, does the HEV actually work on the v6s or v7 like the originals?

Sorry for the silly question but I can't seem to find it via search... can someone tell me what the dial measurements on the DSSD/D-Blue are? I.E.
    • internal black dial diameter
    • internal dial OGEV steel edge-to-edge diameter
    • bezel diameter (44mm I'm assuming)
    Thanks! :)

The face is the same as a Submariner (I think).
    Inner bezel diameter 32mm
The case is 44mm, width including crown is 48mm
The important one is lug to lug - which is a whopping 52mm!

That should sit ok on a 7" flat wrist, but I'd say that was a minimum - It wouldn't wear well on anything smaller IMHO.

I also have a NOOB V7, modded by Vacuum....it seems to me that the E on "escape" is corrected to START at the 12 marker, the K on "lock" is dead on the 6 marker, and the hand is the CORRECT to gen LONGER thinner hand. The original post in this thread states that the rep has an incorrect hand that's long and thinner, but then the poster says the rep is on the left, which has the shorter fat hand.....the correct hand should be the slightly longer and thinner. What I can't tell for the life of me, if the pearl on the second hand is the correct size...my eyes start wandering when I start comparing haha. If anyone cares to know dates, I got my vac modded v7 in early March.

Honestly, I have a gen sub and this one feels hollow. Seeing how it is a divingwatch I was thinking of mixing it up with a natoband or something in that area.

I know what you mean about the feel of the bracelet against gen although I must say the one on my rep DSSD is about as good as I've come across but they can differ from rep to rep.
I have just had my new YM116655 arrive and the oysterflex rubber strap that come with it is excellent. Perhaps you could pick one of those straps up from your TD and see if you can make that work on your DSSD:)

Just wondering here, The 12 o'clock lume marker seems to be off to one side on many of the versions , even some that are mentioned as V7 where in the original OP shows that it was supposedly corrected from V6 on when they fixed the 10 o clock lume marker placement. It makes for an easy tell given its large broadcast on the dial, and doesn't seem to be mentioned much as a noticeable issue which it clearly is if you look at it.

That's a good point completely slipped my mind for a moment, scrap that idea, Rep rubber B perhaps or Hadley Roma do some excellent straps they are worth a look. I've picked a couple of really nice Hadley Roma straps up on the bay:)

Thanks for the pic here, but do you notice it on yours as well?, at the top of the lume triangle RHS corner is closer to the 1st minute marker than the LHS triangle corner is to the 59th minute marker.

    No?

Theres a reflection on one side. Its centred. The bottom of the triangle aligns perfectly with the crown, and it sits true.

I think you are being thrown off because the markers are different sizes. Looks centered to me. Keep in the mind, the markers aren't perfectly vertical, but aimed outward, so the longer they are, the closer they will get to the triangle.

    Hi,
I think like @Nirvanaib said you are perhaps being thrown a bit by the optical illusion that it is not centred as a result of the different sized markers. As the right or 1 marker is taller it gives the impression that the pearl triangle is off centre but I can assure you it is perfectly centred. Some of the earlier Rolex reps suffered with the actual pearl being off centred to the right within the triangle marker but on all my latest Noob reps this seems to be no longer apparent. If you are looking for a solid rep I can safely say that the Noob V7 DSSD is about as good as it gets. Some flaws are there as with any rep against gen but as you can see from my earlier post with it side by side with my gen it really is very good indeed.
Hope this helps ease any concerns and if you do decide to order one you won't be disappointed I'm sure

If you put a straight edge against each leg of the isosceles triangle that is the marker so the edge shoots up perpendicular to the minute markers then measure across each triangle apparent edge with a vernier there is a noted measurement difference from that photo. Unless it is paralax error due to the angle of the face not being true square to the picture.
Just my observation and some of the OP pics on the earlier models it is absolutely obvious.

Here is my NOOB DSSD that I got from Sead a couple months ago, Clearly I need to take some better pictures
    [IMG]

Here is a project I did a couple years back with a BK DSSD and a Prohunter dial some red paint and AR.
Again better pictures needed as I deleted a bunch of bad ones and these are the best of the worst, I did the Platinum Paint mod but not in these pictures
