Hi all Pam fans. I have finally decided to bite the bullet on a new Pam 088 and am waiting to hear from DSN regarding buying one from him.

Can anyone give me some feedback who have purchased his 088 as I have researched it and come up with mixed conclusions which are, however wrong they might be as follows:-

DSN has the best dial with the secondhand dial being the most correct but the Crown and guard arent as good as the cartel

The cartel Ultimate is a better watch but the dial isnt as good.

I think I will go with the DSN if he gets back to me as I can always mod the CG but I would love to hear from people who own either.

ultimate is better in my opinion. Ultimate has better crown and cg IMO. The cyclops and datefont are miles ahead of DSN as well. And I also think the cartel version has a better dial. All it needs is a relume.

Can someone tell what is under "cartel" watches? Where to look for these?

BTW- I have DSN 088. he one thing which bothers me- date doesn't change when it should :) It has its own regime :)

Congrats mate, while your waiting are you going to try and source the better cyclops and crystal and CG, Crown?

Or leave as it is? Post pics when you get it!

Hi Pete

Yep I intend to mod it as with most of my reps. I got the DSN as I like the lighter sub dial however on his photos the lum seems alot greener than normal so might get that changed.

Better crystal, I have heard that the DSN is not as good as the Cartel,,,,, Why?

I have looked at getting a new crystal from
http://www.ewatchparts.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=51_90 but need some feedback on how good it is and whether it fits the case. Next look out for a good CG,Crown and date wheel if need be.

I intend to post pics so I can judge what to do, anyone out there will info on sourcing parts or feedback on ewatchparts feel free to chip in

Well I am impressed with DSNs service, the 088 was posted on the 10th from Hong Kong and I received it today (12th) in the Uk!!!! Thanks Quick

First impressions. I was right in saying that I prefer the silver sub dial but I think the crown guard doesnt look right and the crown wheel is wobbly. My biggest concern is the lum which although it glows like a torch, it is very green compared with the genuine or even the Cartel model. As far as the crystal goes I was surprised that the cyclops is internal rather than on top of the crystal like a Rolex but other than that I cannot comment as I cannot compare with anything. Once I have a few minutes I will take some photos and you can all post your comments and more importantly give advice on my next move regarding mods, best crown guard, where to get a better crystal etc, trip to Vac,s is first and foremost the next stop over!!

Conclusion, love the Pam 088 glad I got a DSN but as all my watches its going on some overseas trips for modding!! :)
