Unwinding the Crown

Is there any way I could smoothen it while I'm unwinding the crown before I reach the first position?

In many of the reps I've handled particularly non-chrono, it feels rough as one unwinds the crown counter clockwise. What lubricant can I apply to make it smoother? Will a gen tube matter at this point? :thinking:

i find that often it is the dirt in the threads that make it rough. remove crown and stem and clean the threads with alcohol both in the crown and on the tube. Grease only the seals. If that fails a better tube and or crown may fix the issue
