Dear Mr. President,
I'm in the process of renewing my passport, and still cannot believe this.
How is it that K-Mart has my address and telephone number, and knows that I bought a Television Set and Golf Clubs from them back in 1997,
and yet, the Federal Government is still asking me where I was born and on what date.
For Christ sakes, do you guys do this by hand?
My birth date you have in my Medicare information, and it is also on all the income tax forms I've filed for the past 40 years. It is on my driver's licence, on the last eight passports I've ever had, as well on all those stupid customs declaration forms I've had to fill out before being allowed off the planes over the last 30 years, not to mention all those insufferable census forms that I've filled out every 5 years since 1966.

Also..would somebody please take note, once and for all, that my mother's name is Audrey, my Father's name is Jack, and I'd be absolutely fucking astounded if that ever changed between now and when I drop dead!!!...

SHIT!

I apologize, Mr. President.
But I'm really pissed off this morning. Between you an' me, I've had enough of all this bullshit! You send the application to my house,
- in which you ask me for my fucking address!! What the hell is going on with your mob?
Have you got a gang of mindless Neanderthal assholes workin' there ?
And another thing, look at my damn picture. Do I look like Bin Laden? I can't even grow a beard for God's sakes. I just want to go to New Zealand and see my new granddaughter. (Yes, my son interbred with a Kiwi girl).
And would someone please tell me, why would you give a shit whether I plan on visiting a farm in the next 15 days?
If I ever got the urge to do something weird to a sheep or a horse, believe you me, I'd sure as hell not want to tell anyone!
Well, I have to go now, 'cause I have to hurry to the other end of the city, and get another fucking copy of my birth certificate, and to part with another $80 for the privilege of accessing MY OWN INFORMATION!
Would it be so complicated to have all the services in the same spot, to assist in the issuance of a new passport on the same day??
Nooooo.. that'd be too fucking easy and makes far too much sense.
You would much prefer to have us running all over the place like chickens with our fucking heads cut off, and then having to find some high society wanker to confirm that it's really me in the goddamn photo!
You know the photo..the one where i am even not allowed to smile?! ...you fucking morons !

-
P.S Remember what I said above about the picture, and getting someone in high-society to confirm that it's me? Well, my family has been in this country since before 1850!
In 1856, one of my forefathers took up arms with Peter Lalor.
(You do remember the Eureka Stockade!!) I have also served in both the CMF and regular Army something over 30 years (I went to Vietnam in 1967), and still have high security clearances.
I'm also a personal friend of the president of the RSL.....and Lt General Peter Cosgrove sends me a Christmas card each year !

However, your rules require that I have to get someone 'important' to verify who I am; You know.. someone like my doctor; WHO WAS BORN AND RAISED IN FUCKING PAKISTAN!!!
......a country where they either assassinate or hang their ex-Prime Ministers, and are suspended from the Commonwealth for not having the 'right sort of government.'
or the chief of Homeland security....by the name of Gonzales, no wonder all the mexicans can sit on the streets, untouched and illegal, working without paying taxes.
start harassing those people !
You are all Fucking idiots !

hahah thats awesome! lol

that whole issue of getting someone to verify who you are is stupid. you just have to pay a doctor or an engineer that you dont even know and they'll sign it lol. my buddy just moved to town here and didnt know anyone.. cost him $100 to get a doctor in a walk in clinic to sign for him haha

heck just tell the prez that you know cybee from RWI. :?

Steven last year we were planning our trip to Canada and applied for new passports. We went to check 8 days before our departure and they had not even processed them yet, and we applied for them 3 months in advance. The system is a bureaucratic mess and that is being kind.

So we called Assemblyman Kevin McCarthy. We went to his office told them our problem and within two days we all had our passports. Well I guess he has my vote next election LoL....I guess it's always who you know but seriously make an appointment with you assemblyman, tell him your situation, you never know what could happen.

If you ever need a letter, a witness anything let me know.

On the other hand a little bribery could go a long way...I mean would you really miss one Pam watch anyway :D

I just renewed my pass port 5 months ago and got it in 6 hours. The New Orleans Passport office is the place to do it. All you need is an itinerary showing that you are leaving the country within 2 weeks. I went with my daughter 6 weeks after that and got hers in 5-6 hours. If you show up at 7:45 in the morning there is almost no one there and they will process you in about 20 minutes if you have your pictures with you. If not there is a little news stand on the first floor that will do your pictures in about 10 minutes. Then they tell you to come back at 1 in the afternoon and your passport is ready. It costs like $160- to do it in one day but it is worth it. On top of this the added bonus is that the women working there are amazingly nice. I have never been in a government office with people working there that were more cordial than they are. It is refreshing. One of the women there told me that they get applicants from all over the country because it is easier to do in the NO office. This office building is all the way down Canal St. directly across the street from Harrah's Casino. They are located on the 13th floor. Tell them brtelec sent you! :D

It has ever been so..

a 'good' government means skill at hiding scandals,

a good politician will kiss a dead baby for a vote, then debate for months on how to best protect dead woodpeckers in a swamp,

all the time ignoring life and death and poverty for constituents.. unless they come bearing either great power or gifts..

sor of like the middle ages? NO

exactly like the middle ages.. and it does not matter at all which party is in power, they are the same..

now, who is it that makes Hillary's girdle

Obammy mammy's speeches

Bills black book

McCain's geritol (fights idiot senility)

and Bushes secret.. his chili recipe, the one he like but does not know..

all a buncha freekin barstools, self serving and "f' you jack, I'm OK"

btw, will give kudos to McCain for being a kept man, with the oldes coal eyed

richest trophy wife.. though Kerry came close with his evil frog wife..

Ed Kennedy, el rotundo? the Lion of the Senate? Power and power along kept him out of a

jail cell forever.. the list goes on, does not stop there, the evil machinations multiply and are

overwhelming the population.. just as in the Middle Ages..

LOL

Happy Forth of July! :D l

aughalble that hose who live in

(what once was) richest country in world

where those in crying 'poverty' and crying racism and

injustice are themselves guilty of that same racist sense

of entitlement because they came from poor country or because

somewhere sometime in the far distant past an injustice was done

and the national anthem is sung in Spanish, or turns into a "Black Anthem"

when race and origin is used for hatred and a false sense of entitlement

when divisiveness is celebrated and the honky is hunted down and 'jacked

when there is no real "racial" motivation whatsoever.. and to be poor in America?

LOL, that means to have riches and entitlement beyond the wildest dreams of any

Third World country.. perhaps those he cavil, whinge and whine might consider moving

to Darfur, etc. etc.

to be rich beyond the wildest dreams... and to spend the life given in a rage of stupidity

rather than simply and quietly to get on with a working life, getting ahead, with patience

and thankful humility? LOL - not when the politicos spend time and effort to convince the

free that they are oppressed.. and kissing dead babies..

Life is Good!

still..."Our system of government remains the most stable and free. Consider the constitutional crises in Europe where national plebiscites continue to reject the European constitution that grows increasingly anti-democratic in order to force its vision of heaven-on-earth on its citizenry. There is no need to mention the politics of China, India, and Russia whose increasing affluence ensures a rendezvous with unionism, class concerns, suburban blues, minority rights, environmentalism — all long known and dealt with by the United States. Elsewhere the remedy for tribal and sectarian chaos in Africa or the Middle East is usually authoritarianism."

"On this troubled Fourth we still should remember this is not 1776 when New York was in British hands and Americans in retreat across the state. It is not 1814 when the British burned Washington and the entire system of national credit collapsed — or July 4, 1864 when Americans awoke to news that 8,000 Americans had just been killed at Gettysburg."

"We are not in 1932 when unemployment was still over 20 percent of the work force, and industrial production was less than half of what it had been just three years earlier, or July, 1942, when tens of thousands of American were dying in convoys and B-17s, and on islands of the Pacific in an existential war against Germany, Japan, and Italy.

"Thank God it is not mid-summer 1950, when Seoul was overrun and arriving American troops were overwhelmed by Communist forces as they rushed in to save a crumbling South Korea. We are not in 1968 when the country was torn apart by the Tet Offensive, the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy, and the riots at the Democratic convention in Chicago. And we are not even in the waning days of 1979, a year in which the American embassy was seized in Tehran and hostages taken, the Soviets were invading Afghanistan, thousands were still being murdered in Cambodia, Communism was on the march in Central America, and our president was blaming our near 6-percent unemployment, 8-percent inflation, 15-percent interest rates, and weakening international profile on our own collective “malaise.â€

Increasingly we are becoming spoiled little cry-babies in a land that affords us every freedom to whine and complain. Time for less talk, and more action...or as stated above, move to Darfur and try living there for awhile. Please report back.

Take ONE day to be thankful for all those before who paid with their lives so that we could give our best shot at living free.

Its the 4th of July , so be happy...and remember "life is good"................THANK-YOU AMERICA.

:D

sorry forgot the essentials...Truth, Justice, and hot Hot Tub on yacht full of scantily clad exotic women, H_U wearing big gold chain on neck, gen on wrist, long forgotten RWI and whilst music from another subculture rap group and foreign to cybee's world plays so-called music denouncing the very society that made them rich in first place and sipping martini's basking in Bahamanian sunset.

Dear Mr. Prez,

YOU owe us big time. We have a right to the good life just like Snoop canine Doggie Dog. Otherwise we will sue for our wants with attorneys, Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe. :D

Nice words Cybee. Thank you for the post. I think it is easy for the average American to lose sight of how good they have it. There are a lot of Americans struggling right now, but all and all we have a great system that just needs a little work. Happy 4th guys!

The original post is great, the mind boggles doesn't it.

If you complain, they will probably cite data protection etc, yet the government can subpoena any records it wants on you, where's the data protection on that !

They might as well admit they know everything there is to know about you, stop asking the same dumbass questions and just make life easier for everyone !

Spy, I do not think you really understand how our government works. I am positive that there are certain agencies with in our government that can access any info they want on an individual, however, the information sharing process between agencies and other government offices is almost comical. The inter-agency coordination in the US government is less organized than a s h i t fight in a monkey house.

Cybee says it best..

brtelec right on money, who needs to spend time in Darfur to know how bad we have it!

and Spy hits on head.. moves post into Dark Ages where it belonngs.. the priest telling you how to think,

on threat of excommunication, and the Lord of the Manor has privilege of deflowering your wife..

the more things change, the more they stay the same..

the obvious that has ever been obvious is ignored because of a word

"Freedom"

perhaps those who do not have the U.S. version are wrongly envious, happier in their obvious economic and political

slavery, their reward death and starvation, so those who love "Freedom" can become enraged, uncaring, devisive and feel

"entitled" because of what californios, what slave master, and slave sellers have done to their ancestorys, whose names

they do not even know, except maybe for Chicken Little in root with the false pigs of made up memory.. did bad things happen?

Hell, what is happening how is far worse, a populace convinced that the third world owes them a living, setting no example

except for avarice... envy... and false 'entitlement'

WTF??????

(This message brought to you by your political party of choice, POGO!)
