Hi,

I recently picked up a clean panda daytona 116500LN, love it so far, but rolex casebacks are a let down in my opinion compared to exhibition casebacks, and was interested in putting a clear caseback on it, just seeing if anyone else had done this and knows the answers.

Custom watch concepts from germany appears to have a very high quality one, stainless and sapphire, pressure tested, ~$185. This is the only one I can find that specifically says its fits the 116500LN (assuming the clean is a 1-1 copy)

ebay has various clear casebacks for the 116520 which is the previous generation but still the 4130 movement, ranging from $50-100, says sapphire as well but not sure if I trust that, but I'm ok with mineral crystal depending on price point as I don't think sapphire is necessary for the caseback.

Does anyone know if the caseback for a 116520 is the same as the clean 116500?

Thanks,
Pete

I did a quick search on AliExpress (usually a good source for these types of things), but found nothing. My guess is anything for a 116500 is compatible with anything for a 116520 since they’re the same case. But not the 16500 (5-digit) Daytona.

Gotcha, much appreciated dogwood, if they are in fact the same case, then I'm all set, I'll just pick up a lower cost 116520 version, thanks

I believe that most TD's have access to the Skeleton Montoya Daytona so you might want to reach out and see if they could source a case back for that. It's a stunning watch but the part uses the same steel case as any 116500 I believe.
