Yes. It really makes sense to use a month-day-year format. It is so logical. Like Fahrenheit, miles, gallons, and practically everything else of those ancient, outdated units, that should have been overcome for decades. Go metric or bust :neener:

In fact you will find that the japanese format year-month-day is becoming more popular. It makes sorting much easier.

Re POFEX: A bit of creative thinking might give you a clue.

How is it logical having the month first? I never think to myself what month is it, if someone asks the date they ask for the day in the month.

I never did understand this format.

And as for having the year first! I never really knew that about the Japanese date format.

If someone ask the date in the UK we just say it’s the 1st or 28th and so on, That’s the natural first number you think of so that is the natural first number that should be written in the date format.
