Crown Issue

Hi, I have a problem with my asian PAM movement, it's a manual winding movement, probably a 6497 clone. The issue with the watch is that whenever I pull out the crown, it's hard to switch from winding to time setting and if I manage to switch to time setting, if I push the crown back in and wind it, it will still set the time. Is there any way to fix this on my own? Your help would be very much appreciated, thanks!

If it was always like that i would have guessed the stem was cut too short, but seeing as the problem developed, i would venture to guess there is a problem with the keyless assy.

Im not so sure its easy, but it does look easier than a 2836 ,but then again ive never done a6497, so i could be wrong. There is one part in the tutorial which suggest holding a spring down with a wooden peg, but ive had good luck securing it with rodico, or silly putty, and peeling it of when you are done.

Oh yeah and youve got a good set of screwdrivers and tweezers right ?
Ans also something soft to set the movement on while working on it or a movemet holder..

Thank you so much both of you. Yes, I'll read em and start after that, I believe I have the tools needed. Again, thanks for the fast and helpful response!

So after reading tons of posts as suggested by Raddave and Dochere2, and spending 60 bucks on tools, I was finally prepared to disassemble the whole movement. As soon as I disassembled the CG the crown immediately dropped out and it felt weird because I recalled watching Cwazy's video and it was supposed to be tighten by the screw. What I did was, I just open the case back, and try tighten the screw after I placed the crown back in. Works like a charm. Thanks guys, although it took me a few days to study and it turned out to be an easier fix than I expected, it was a pretty good experience and it felt satisfying. Although not much help I can contribute back to the community, I thought I'd post a picture of the screw I tighten that is essentially the whole issue of my watch.
