Had to show this one off.

Many, many thanks to the fellow who sent it!

Nice one indeed. I have a couple of these little engines in my vinty reps and the thing I love about them is the tick!! It has a sound quality that the ETA's simply don't have. Even though these were mass produced movts they certainly look much better made than modern ones. And are still tickig smoothly after all these years. No Incabloc shock protector means don't drop them as the balance staff will be a little more vulnerable.

That's a nice one Enzo. Is that the hour wheel drive with the keeper over it? Looks like it doesn't need the wavy washer like the mov'ts I'm familiar with.

Yep, the Cortebert has a very nice tick. I can't wait to hear how it rings all cased up!

The hour wheel is missing here, what you see is the hour wheel driver wheel that is secured in place. All the hour wheels need that washer. Not a problem if you lose one as they are available from O.Frei for a few cents!!

That Invicta looks pristine, enzo. It's just that they had more time / care in periods prior to the electronic (quartz) era. Craftsmanship was more valued at the common level, today, sadly, it's a luxury.

And hoffman: nice score! Enjoy making something interesting w/ it.

Cheers, BBB
