Change crown on Cartier Ballon Bleu (rep-gen compatibility)

Hi!
I recently bought a Cartier Ballon Bleu with an Asian Eta 2824-2 movement.
I am very happy with the watch and couldn't be happier with the smoothness of the movement!
Looking around on the internet, I found a gen crown for Cartier Ballon Bleu and I was wondering if anybody knew wether it would fit the rep (as I am really far from being an expert in the rep-gen compatibility of parts) before purchasing it!

Because I prefer the shape of the gen, with the round stone! And to have a real (and barely visible, I know) sapphire on my wrist! :

I don't think the ETA/asian crown stem would work with the gen crown, and the gen stem would not work with an ETA/asian. Your best (and most risky) bet would be to try screwing the gen crown onto the ETA/asian stem, and if that doesn't fit, then you'd have to retap the crown.
