There is any Cartier Santos with a gen mvt inside? Someone said that the cartel is selling it. Does it have any flaws?

I HAD it, when It was first around.

your problem here is there are too many people "against" the "cartel" and youll never get a direct answer on the movement,

well people will tell you its not a gen movement, people will also tell you that its just got gen parts on the movement, and others will tell you 100% not one tiny bit!

Its up to what you believe or want to believe, I loved it,
But IF i was to buy again, I wouldn't go for that model with the "genuine" movement.

Why do you say that you wouldn't buy that again? It was a gen movement or not?

I say so yes.
But others will doubt.

Dont really see the point in the movement thing anymore. as If that really was genuine, no other parts, were case strap dial hands etc all rep.

If you seriously want one, PM me and ile forward you my old For sale add link to another forum.

You can read what ever said about it there.

Isn't it like 1,000 usd for something that no one knows for sure it is a gen movement?

I was reading a thread about this watch over on RG, and apparently there are a bunch of watches like this that are replicas but are sold as gens on the grey market. These watches are much more expensive and accurate than the watches our TD's advertise on their sites. Apparently this particular Cartier watch didn't meet the requirements for whatever reason and was therefore made available to the public.

Personally, I wouldn't spend $1500 on it as I am sure it is 100% rep.

^This.

The reason was the clasp isn't perfect. The late Robert could get these watches but didn't consider the problems of dealing with "1:1 whores" would be worth it. He assured me that the Cartier in question was gen MVT, case, and dial out the back door of the factory. The only non gen bits were the strap, deployant and hands.

Woah, is there a way to see or have access on these watches for the grey markets? It would be intersting.

I think to get access you are going to need a very well connected source in China. The late Robert seemed to be very well connected!
