I ended up ordering one.
It's not the ultimate, because it does not have the swiss movement, but I think the casing, dial, etc is the same.

No, but the 10&11 placement is very good, was always a major tell on the previous reps along with the rounded bezel screws as I'm sure they are flat on the Gen. Otherwise at this price point it's a great rep, santos does wear big on the arm thou

The casing, dial etc is the same as the Swiss...just Asian movement....call this an Ultimate with Asian movement,

It's definitely the ultimate case, but it dies not appear to have individualized serial numbers on the case back and the spinel in the crown little too blue. These are very minor nits though. This is a very solid rep at $275 and for $158 it's a spectacular deal.

The fonts on the dial are thinner than the ultimate. Hard to see at first but pull the ultimate from torobravos and compare them, you'll see they are different.

I didn't notice that before....So now I just upgraded to the Swiss Ultimate....Couldn't live with the thinner indices once I knew about them....

funny thing about the thinner/bolder indices issue. When I look at the cartier website, the indices look like the thinner version.

Hey guys. Here are my QC pics. Looks not too bad? For the price I'm not super bothered. I can tell the dial numbers are a bit thin and the jewel isn't the right blue.

Another thing I notice is the 'Cartier' at VII isn't perfect. And the actual case isn't as 'refined' as the gen - the lugs and the two bits around the crown don't have the nice smooth curve shape (ie just straight angles on the rep).
