Dear Community,
in line with the launch of the new section, I'm opening my fresh customer feed back here.
A Double Red Sea Dweller 1665, mostly assembled from Cartel parts from 'everything he found in his drawer', got assembled by "Uhrenpaul" from the old MBW circle, and sold to me. What we identifed among those misc. parts was a Cartel case with correct He valve size and engravings, Clark plexi, and a WSO bezel.
This is how the watch looked after initial assembly:
Case shape, nevertheless, was still a bit off and needed some expert skills in treatment. RolexAddict took a critcal look and idenfied the following work areas for improvement:
- CG reshaping
- reducing crown size (by milling down from the inner side)
- milling down the bezel to allow flatter angle for insert position
- enlarging lug holes to allow insertion of fat 2mm gen Rlx spring bars
Here's the result... pretty much the best you can transform from a non gen size Cartel rep basis!
No need to hide behind the gen 1675!
Turn around time was very quick in rep terms: a couple of days shipment, one week for wait time, doubel checking, confirming, executing the work and getting it ready to ship again, and another week of shipment back; so in total, just about threee weeks.
Thanks, RolexAddict!
