I've had my mind set on the Santos but just came across the Calibre at the AD yesterday and liked the look of it. It appears the rep is fairly accurate and also a lot more affordable than the Santos.

Any opinions on which you'd choose and why?

From an accuracy point of view the Santos is far better than Calibre.

But very different watches they are. I would take the one I like the best.

Seems fairly accurate. Maybe font should be a bit darker?

But yes Santos would be the most accurate out of the 2.

That does seem very accurate. Which particular model is it? Have you ever compared it to the gen in person?

The current Santos ultimate is extremely close from the front and with the closed case back dead on behind.

The Calibre has a display case back and the movement is very different.

This may not be important to the wearer, however the question was which is the more accurate.

Issue with the Santos is that it's nearly $500 for a rep which I still find the flaw quite obvious, on macro pics that is. The Calibre seems to be a decent rep with a complicated face so no apparent flaws jump out at me and there are quite a few variations which would make it harder for people be able to remember all the models. At $120ish it seems to be much greater value.

That review looks good. Does the DW seem sunken or fairly normal looking?

To me it is normal, not that sunken.......

I have both, don't have the expensive Santos too, but I think the calibre is more watch for the money. Go for it.

I just ordered one from puretime. It was the best rep I found and I am super excited for it (it's my first rep).

Really wish the new version had the righ (sub)dial color, I'd been very close to "pulling the trigger" but found out about that flaw and changed my mind. Maybe they'll soon make a V2 version and all will be good...;)

The black dial is correct?
