I was going through my watch box and came across a Bagelsport I bought off the bay about 5 years ago. I got to looking at it and decided I would see if I could turn it into something more appealing to kick around in. So I turned this.

I have to say it looks very similar to my gen even down to the strap! Well done.

Great build, Like the Vintage Touch!

Where did you get the parts?

Most came from Raffles. The bay for the others. The watch was originally patterned after 16610 style, I just wanted a vintage look. It has no lug holes, and the crystal probably sits a bit too high.

Excellent ! - you can sand the base of that crystal down so it sits better - just keep checking so that you don't sand off too much.

So I have gotten tired of the leather band and the heavy faded insert. So I replaced the insert with a less faded Clarks insert and installed a oyster bracelet from Raffles.

Nice work! I may just have to reevaluate my idea to do a 16610 build out of one of these Baglesports and do a 1680 like you did instead.

A decent 16610 dial would make a good build too. And a crystal swap, would be a fun one to kick around in.

@crsteen, your build is amazing. You did change the movement, didn't you? Why? And did you need to modify the case or movement ring for that?

Kind regards
Michael

Stunning. If this ever came up in M2M would be all over it.

Awesome watch. Is that an aluminum insert or did you age the ceramic?
