I was thinking how similar that song is to a very old song and then he started singing the words to that old song, papa hmm mow mow papa hmm mow mow. :shock:

"Surfin' Bird" is a song performed by American surf rock band The Trashmen, which reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. It is a combination of two R&B hits by The Rivingtons, "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow" and "The Bird's the Word" and was released in 1963, along with an album of the same name, becoming popular in the Vietnam war era.
Notably, it appears in the films Pink Flamingos (performed by a lip synching rectum)[1] and Full Metal Jacket. It was also used in the video game Battlefield Vietnam (as a reference to the Stanley Kubrick film).
The majority of the song's rapid fire lyrics are derived simply from the titles of two songs by Los Angeles R&B group The Rivingtons - "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow", itself a parody of doo wop from 1962, and "The Bird's The Word" from 1963.
This song has been covered many times, most notably by punk rock band the Ramones (1977), The Deviants, The Cramps (1979), The Queers (1994), PPM (2001) and German thrash metal group Sodom (on their Vietnam war concept album M-16). It was also covered by Pee-Wee Herman in the movie Back to the Beach and by Australian group Silverchair as a B-side.

and if you don't like that one How about the man who shot Liberty Valance. My girlfriend at the time was an actress by the name of Jill Haworth and she starred in the move Exodus wirh Sal Mineo but there were a lot of drugs floating around at that time. We sang these songs and made them work in our everyday life. Whatever that means.
Let's keep going back to the 50's and 60's and enjoy the past. My group I worked with was big back then but Mister Cocker asked me to join the Mad Dogs and he said that he would bring the Englishmen. BTW, if anyone really loves the old psychadelic 60's music, I have 100,000 mp3's avaiable that I will gladly place on dvd discs and they have all been recently remixed or digitally engineered for better sound. All files are cleand and safe Maybe I could charge a fee and the forum would benefit .
