Asian Unitas movement & screw-down crown

I have a Asian Unitas movement in a Rolex style case with a screw down crown. In trying to screw the crown down, I find that I am also winding the movement. I know in other movements, there is a further set beyond the wind position so that the crown screws down freely. Is this the case with the Asian Unitas? Is the fix simply a matter of an adjustment? I have the movement out now (because I figured this would be a good movement to learn to take apart and service) so any mod is possible.
