Hi all!
Was curious as to what everyone thinks about the ultimate editions. They seem to run a little over 400. Is it worth it to spend that much if I am not looking to mod the watch (not yet at least). Which models have the best ultimate versions?
Is it a better idea to just start with something a little more basic?
I want a polished look with saphire glass, no chronograph and no green tinge on the text. Any model/dealer recommendations? There seem to be a lot ofoppossing thoughts on the 111.
Any thoughts and suggestions welcome.

The Ultimate 212, 253, 104, 164, and 088 worth the extra money over the respective models' predecessor. Better date font, better magnifaction, better hands/dial (in the case of 212/253/088), and better crown guard (in the case of 104/164/088).

If you plan on not modifying your PAM, those Ultimate models are worth the extra money up front.

So is the 088 the highest common denominator and the best option if i am not looking to mod ? Coincidentally that's the first and only PAM I have seen in person.

Yes. DSN doesnt match up.

In terms of magnification, datewheel font, AR, crown, cg, ultimate is better :)

For me, the best Ultimate PAM auto overall is the PAm104. The 088 has a sunken datewheel, which for me, is a deal-breaker, so I won't own it. However, the only thing wrong, in my opinion, on the 104 is the L SWISS MADE L is too close to the 6.

When we say "ultimate" we are referring to the Josh/Andrew Ultimates? do other dealers have access to these ultimate versions? Robert T4D? or any others? I'm about to pull the trigger on a 104 b/c it appears that is the closest to gen Pam rep? Does anyone make a logo base rep that is close to gen? using this style dial? Would DSN be the way to go on this one? Not sure of the model...

Best logo tilts I have seen are from the Silix ages ago and FGD who makes his small batch of dials

Correct, but FGD isn't making any 000 dials (yet, at least). He's doing all Pre-V/Pre-A stuff.

In fact, I'm sending him payment tonight for one of his new Pre-A 001/004 dials. Woot!
