hello,
i am looking a long time for a PAM 090 or a PAM 050 with a real Swiss movement.
But i only saw them with Asian movement. With 1 or 2 exceptions where the dealers
are untrusty.

Can anyone explain me, are existing these 2 watches with Swiss and if doesn't, pls
explain me, why not.

I am very glad for an answer.

thx

There is no unmodified Swiss Automatic movement with the seconds at 9, unless you want a $500 7750-based replica. There's no point when the 21j Asian is perfectly reliable.

These watchs require a movement that provide the date and seconds running at nine. The only 2 movements under $500 that will do this are the Asian 21j movement and the Asian 7750 movement. Either of these are perfectly fine movements.

The only Swiss movement that would work would be the Swiss 7750 and like Pugwash said, they would be over $500 per rep.

hi,thx for answers.
500$ for a rep with a real Swiss is ok for me. But i don't saw any dealer with them. Any TRUSTY dealer.
But then, i have a really good quality and a movement, which is going smooth and with maintence i have a lifetime watch.
this is more important for me, as a watch where i must be afraid, when i clap my hands in a concert of Robbie Williams :D *JOKE*.

Sometimes you just can't get what you want. Not all reps are available in best-possible versions, unfortunately.

that means, dealers who offers a 090 or 050 with "original Swiss ETA" are scummers and betrain costumers?

i want to buy one of these watches and i saw a dealer from UK who sells both watches for 500$.

i am confused. if i know 100%, that this are really Swiss movement, i would buy it. 500$ for a rep with swiss is ok for me.
but some users tell me, that the dealer can be a scummer and it's difficult to check the movement of asian or swiss......

It's not difficult as they have a photo. This is what they say: "Movement: Swiss ETA 2836-2 25J automatic movement" which does not exist in seconds-at-9 configuration. The photo shows a modified old-style Asian 7750 from what I can see.

Can you explain why you need a 'Swiss' movement (considering even 'Swiss' movements are made in China) in your Panerai rep?

the opinion is split of the asian vs. swiss movement.
some people swear of asian movement, because is cheap and will be fine and have nearly quality of the real swiss.
but the other side of people means, that's real swiss are smoother as asian.

my opinion is, that i rather pay 500$ for quality and a watch for many years, as an asian which is sensitive and not a long so longlive.

bye the way: only a few ETA were produced in china.

how long an asian movement life approx?

Yes, only a proportion of ETA movements are produced in the far-east, and they're the ones we get in our reps.

As for life of an asian movement, I'd give them a few years easily. My first replica is over 6 months old and going the same as when I bought it. I see no reason for it not to last several years.
