AR on the Ultimate 104 Crystal

So, I am sure that this has been covered in depth - somewhere - but I have never actually seen the definitive answer on this question.

The best crystal with a cyclops for the Auto Pam's is the Ultimate Crystal which comes on the latest generation 104, 228, 164 watches. These watch crystals unfortunately also feature a overly blue AR, single sided (on the inside).

Given the various services of the AR modders on the forum - has any ever successfully re-ar'ed the Ultimate crystal? Or for that matter - has anyone every actually attempted to AR it and fail?

I have heard many things - that he crystal is a sandwitch, that is it ground out, etc. But - i don't believe that anyone really has determine this definitively.

Also, DSN has a new cyclops crystal (which has a pretty clear crystal - although it is rather underpowered) and he AR while better, still is a little too strong (not blue, but something else.)

AR is notoriously hard to get pictures of, or I would post a picture of my 104.

There are some examples of ultimate crystals that have be re-ARed.

So it is possible to remove the standard AR on the ultimates and recoat them with aftermarket AR.

Just get a piece of cape cod or use a dremel and remove the AR. I did it with all my ultimates and never felt better.
