Bit advice needed from Pam experts on getting Pam crystals re-coated with double AR?
I've quite a few Pam reps/super reps but some could do with improvements to the AR, I was wondering how do you remove crystals and who is best for AR coating?
Many thanks

Pretty sure rnrprof is one of the most famous sellers of double AR crystals. You can either send it to him for installation or buy just the crystal and install it with your local watch smith

Thanks, I think pam xtals are removed by unscrewing the bezel ring but never removing one before i'm not too sure!

It depends on the PAM, Luminor/Luminor Marinas have a service gap underneath the bezel @10 and that's where you pry off the bezel. Submersibles can be pried off. The one on the PAM661 is screwed on the top of the midcase. Crystal is press fitted onto the bezel and may be removable with some pressure. However to reinstall the crystal, a crystal press is necessary.

Thanks Mysterio, I have a crystal press so may well remove the crystal to send off for AR, If I remember correctly the gens are fairly well coated and transparent, I think the first ones to go are 190 and 346, the 346 is not bad but just looks a tad cloudy in daylight!

@mysterio - quick question for you, any ideas on whether the standard 35.5mm luminor crystal will fit the 356? Seems slightly different from what my untrained eye can tell

If you are replacing a crystal in a PAM rep, always replace the crystal gasket with a better quality one. The rep gaskets on some Luminors compress alot over time and generally cannot be re-used.

Where can I buy these gaskets?
