A better crown guard for a 6152/1?

Davidsen's 6152/1 crown guard looks great. The engraving, AWSOME. But the shape has been bothering me. Sorry David, I'm not trying to be picky, I know you are working very hard for us! But I have read this complaint a few times:

the inner shape of David's CG is flat. The gen 6152/1 has a slight ">" shape to it. Can David's CG be modded? or David (if you are listening) can you modify the next production of your CGs?

Like other have said, the CG from the PAM127 seems to be the correct shape. Just need to get rid of "REG TM" and stamp "BREV. ITAL".

It looks like David's CG belongs more on one of the historical PAMs.

While I'm at it, isn't the lever wrong too? The part close to the case that you need to stick your finger under to open (do u understand what I'm saying?) needs to be fatter and squared off, like on the PAM127.

I'm ready to get flamed now....

From where I stand, er, sit, the 1950 CG shape looks closer, so get it engraved 'Brev.' & 'Ital.' and would seem to have greater verisimilitude.

I too LOVE it that David is taking on these vintage projects - thanks Dave! :D

Nice project...the Fiddy cases are beautiful. Big is beautiful! LOL

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Davidsen's 6152 dials...the engraving is SO DAMN COOL. I think it really makes a difference. I know he worked closely with Enzo on these, so thank you too Enzo!

Call me crazy...looks like u changed the crown guard!! In the bottom 2 pics, crown guard has different shape.

Look at the inside of the crown guard. In the bottom 2 pics the interior of the guard is squared off. In the first pic, with the original guard, it has the slight ">" shape to it.

IMHO, I think you should of kept the PAM127 "Fiddy" guard, and just turned it over so the 'REG TM" was facing back.

Just my $0.02

Thanks for the observation and advice....Davidsen had told me this new CG was a little more accurate to "vintage" and he also did not have it tightened yet because he still had more work to do....
