6497 decoration question.

i know e E-series movements are decorated with "PANERAI PANERAI" across e bridges.. but seeing a fellow member post e plates for sale here had me thinking, can they be removed.? &if they can be, whats under these plates.?e cotes de geneve strips like on e H-series movements.?

The short answer is: It depends on the movement.

Some of them are just thin plates glued on top of CdG bridges. Some of them are engraved.

I would assume the ones where they glued on the E series plates do NOT have the "Officine Panerai" engraving on the CdG bridges underneath, but I'm not certain.

well, i guess e only way to find out is to open up e watch&take a look right.? i guess it doesnt really matter whether the Officine Panerai is on it as i cld get francisco's decals right.?

Post pics of the movement. I can most likely tell you if it is glued on plates or not...

i believe its e same as the one BOUDART has.. same serial caseback as well..
