177h + canonfix / superlume hands...pix

EL's 177h and davidsens canon fix and super lume hands.

install did NOT go smoothly, though I am happy how it all came out, I am not very happy overall, I will probably send it off to davidsen or someone to have a faceplate that actually glows (it doesn't glow as bright as in the picture because it was a quick overexposure).

This was my first time working on this movement...hopefully the mod will last...

I think I will probably just buy a movement/hand/dial set from Davidsen and a 177 from another dealer just for the case when I decide to go for one of these.

it does look good, but i scratched up the the area around the second hand just with one or two visible nicks...plus during the install no one said u have to take off that metal piece that holds the crown coil in place...that was a big pain...

Roeod, I thought Davidsens case/dials were different so that the dials didn't just drop in to other cases?

I could be all wet on this, but I thought Enzo mentioned it somewhere.

I remember that too. I e-mailed Davidsen and asked him, but nothing back yet.

I am working with some davidsen dials and cases, those are different in diameter cmpared with other reps.

If davidsen can do a dial swap on this for me I would send it to him.

Davidsen's dials are a bit bigger than the dials that come on most other reps, but they can be ground to fit.

This is the rep world after all and what fun is moding a watch if you aren't moding the watch? :wink:
