I have decided that the 177 Panerai is the one for me, but I have a few questions. Who has the best one, what are the upgrades the watch will need to be closer to gen, and what are the approximate costs for the upgrades from the "Gurus"? Thanks for the help, and I really enjoy coming to the site!

2. dial and hands relume
3. thicker crown and CG

Well, depending on which one of "our" resident 'gurus'/watchmakers is doing the work and the quality of parts like thick crown, lume etc, you're looking at the vicinity of $200-350.
