By "H", I'm assuming you mean with a sandwich dial? No, the 172 was a SE, so there is only that one year.

Why do you want a 111J rep? It would be the same as the 111H....

What is that pic of, Lex? Is that PVD? Oxidized Ti? It looks really dark, but not like any OEM PVD/DLC/Ceramic Panerai that I've seen.

No, the 111J would look just like an H.

The more I look at that, the more it looks like *really* oxidized Ti....

OK, the add says it is a PVD'd 111j, so definitely an aftermarket job. Is it just me or does it look brushed underneath that PVD, instead of the more traditional beadblasted?

yea, it does look brushed... this would look crazy with the 172 blue hands...
