127 + 217 and dealer comparisons

I am new here but just looking through the archives I have made some observations motivated by by interest in the above 2 watches.

In terms of the 127 1950 I have found 2 really good offerings:
1. A while back, eddielee offered the 127 with the only shortcoming being the recessed pin; otherwise the watch was very well done having the adjustable swan neck, sapphire glass, and swiss movement: http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3384&highlight=1950

2. davidsenjpn also offered the 127 with shortcomings being no adjustable swan neck, upside down crown (fixable as noted by some responses), and mistmatched strap: http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7189

In terms of the 217 another 2 offerings by the same dealers:
1. davidsenjpn offers a great watch with no recessed pin but also no adjustable swan neck and again an upside down crown; the movement is swiss and the glass is sapphire: http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6955

2. eddilee's lastest offerings has the adjustable swan neck but does have asian movement and no sapphire glass: http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7494

So decisions about the watches are made difficult by great offerings by 2 great dealers. But I might be dead wrong but I find eddielee's offerings to be more accurate (possibly depending on the watch) and all inclusive for the many consumers on this board. Yet I find many devoted davidsenjpn product fans.

I might be looking only at the superficial aspects of the watches; so I pose this question to the more knowledgeable body: what makes davidsenjpn products unique or superior to the several others offered by other dealers?

For me personally,

its the issue of the recessed pin. That is the MAIN issue IMHO.

Next comes the sapphire glass WITH AR coating. The inverted crown guard can be changed not a problem.

Davidsenjpn's stuff provides me with the solution for the above 2 Major pbls.

Cos aint nobody walking down the street is gonna ask me to flip my watch over to 'admire' the swan-neck!!! :)

Yep, I have to agree with Pamfried. The recessed pin is noticable flaw on the wrist and so is the lack of AR coating. These 2 make the watch look fake to those who know.

Since the swan neck serves no real purpose on reps IMHO it isn't really a bg deal.

I would rather have an accurate on the wrist watch than a swan neck any day.

However, it all depends on what is most important to you.

But the davidsenjpn version is just cheap asian version.

You can get a Swiss version with Swan Neck decoration and upgrade the cannon pinion yourself.

Check my gallery. I have a Swiss version with fixed cannon pinion.

Davidsen can do a Swiss version as well, You just have to pm him to get a quote.
In my opinion this is easily the best Fiddy around and I don't believe these chinese versions are that bad.

The crown guard in his pictures are upside down. The lever should be up and it is down.

I understand what you mean dude but for me, i'm too lazy and too impatient.
I just wanna get a watch with NO recessed pin pbl, WITH AR coating as well as superL dial and hands all at 1 shot.

I dislike the hassle of getting one and then have to send for any modefications cos i hate the wait plus the tricky part of going thru customs.

if I ever deciede to buy another pam (unlikely) but if I do I will have to agree with pamfriend.

its going to HAVE to have the canonpin fixed, ar sapphire, super lume hands/dial, crown I don't care much about but the mvmt has to be 100%. ie: perfect. I'm willing to pay for it...I'm just gana wait for someone to offer it.

imho, I will happily pay $500 for a pam that is perfect, with all the upgrades or otherwise.

if a perfect 183, 177 or a gmt comes around I will pay upto that for it, and I mean perfecttttt

that goes for any watch. like the f.a. I have I'm probably going to be selling and getting one which has sapphire glass. because I like it.

you can always start off with a lightly if not completely unmoded pam and then if you reallllly like it just sell it and save the cash and buy a much better version of it.

I am in the process of doing that right now with my PAM 111h. I want it to be "on the wrist perfect" and I am goign to piece it together until it looks just right. Cannon fixed, super lumed hands and dial, saphire with AR, etc.

The apperance of the movement means nothing to me. I want it to look good when I wear it. Besides, if a super movement comes out that runs perfectly and has all the right markings in all the right places I can always upgrade later.

Not happy with it. I took all the paint off and I will probably redo it this weekend. I need to sand it down first and then repaint it. The Glow was great, but it was too thick and I was having problems with the second hand.

i assume that problem is only with these models? his 111 , 195 and 005 are correct.

I think they are correct in the models that he ships, I just think that the one in the picture was put on upside down.
