Now my box is full again.

Its a beautiful piece and I'm really happy. Only things I would do is probably swap out the CG with a JFu if they ever come up or a good A-D series CG is made, that's the one flaw I could spot. The dial is alright, not 100% but not bad.

I will be sending this off to Goin for a tritium relume as you can see above the lume aint exactly uniform and probably a service, this piece is going to be with me for a long long time. :D

Thanks oncyte!

Nope. Unknown crown. I've had two of these, love'em for Pre-V builds. This one is a little off for an A-series, but I'm taking a bit of liberty here since stuff back then the tolerances werent always spot on.

Good looking 002 you've got there. The latest 040 from DSN isn't bad either, he really managed to make a nice Ti case and dial this time.

The crown looks like so-called Ruby/Angus from 2008, to me anyway.

cheers,
b

Yes, them both are beautiful. I got the sam 040 from DSN, just sent to Uwe to change AR on crystal and do not like the crown guard as well... unregistered, maybe you might tell me an advise, where I can get a good one?

Cheers

The CG on the DSN 040 isn't that bad actually. The biggest flaw is the centered location of the CG lever as well as almost flat-top, but that could be 'fixed' by some re-finishing of the top by introducing a sloping curvature towards the end of the CG bridge which would also produce a thinner top part.

There's a nice post by 'milesd' over at RWG forum that shows his pre-A PAM040 housed inside the latest DSN Ti case, with re-finished CG top. Check the side profile photos of the CG...not bad by any standards, IMO.

Good luck with modding ;-)

exactly what babola said. DSNs Ti CG is pretty decent. There are no other Ti A-D series CGs.

I didn't know much about the 002a, it's like a 112 with sausage dial to resume ?

Anyway i like it, and nice little box full of different pieces.

A Radiomir, a Fiddy, a base, a SS second @ 9, a Ti & all different style of straps. For the guys who said: "Panerai ? It's all the same models" just show your collection as a prove :)

Speaking of straps, the one on the 002a is it a Lambo black ^^ ?

Correct, the 002a is the predecessor of the 112E with a close caseback and tritium dial.

And yup, the strap is a lambo black from Gorilla Straps.

btw, the Fiddy is a gen MM20 which is a gem :D

I can answer for unreg on this one. That's a Gunny strap, Personicus. I believe it is the "Caitlin" strap. He has a section here on RWI, give him a look....
