Reps are like toys, gens...well...they are babies. Fun to play with the toys, but I'm never as emotionally attached/involved with them (nowhere close) as I am with gens. That said, I have been contemplating selling most of my reps, since I realized that I could put myself that much closer to a...
I've been meaning to ask this question for a while, but have been rather embarrassed to do so. On COMEX subs...well, what is the COMEX a reference to? The only COMEX I know is the Commodity Exchange! Therefore, could you Rolex buffs school me on what COMEX is a reference to? Thanks!
I don't disagree at all that the factories will probably do a horrible job repping the R-50. It was more the SP-44 that I was curious if people would be interested in seeing repped; that's the only one I could see the factories getting right. That said, it would be great seeing the factories...
Agreed. They are extremely unique! If only the rep makers could produce something close to it. Perhaps I don't have enough faith in their ability to reproduce something like this, but the cost in doing so would probably make us all think that the Ceramic/RG HBB was a bargain... :( I can dream...
I'll be honest...I never took any kind of serious look at BRM watches. I wrote them off as yet another company trying to cash in on the luxury watch boom, taking an angle of entry by using an acronym that CONVENIENTLY happens to be the same as that of a legendary automotive racing team. The fact...
I'm curious as well...that said, finish and construction/materials quality is way more important to me than accuracy relative to a given gen. I'd rather have a great looking shoe that lasts than an "accurate" looking shoe that fits horribly and falls apart.
If nothing else, I'd love to see this for the bracelet. Maybe even just have a cousteau with it...it just makes the watch so much more appealing to me.
Alright, Paso's ROO has been tempting me for some time. That said, the top ROO offered by other dealers has also been tempting me for some time. Can anyone speak on the quality of either one in relation to each other? I realize that both have flaws in relation to the gen, so I suppose that I'm...
Pull the trigger and never look back. I love my samurai, and my 6309-729A is coming up on 30 years old, keeps +4 a day, and I have no knowledge of it being serviced yet. There really isn't a value in the horology world like Seiko!
Fair is fair! I love my watch, but I will give you the money that you wanted anyhow! I will send you a check that a customer of mine sent me, you send me back the balance of 900k, and you keep the 12K! What an AWESOME deal! :P
I'd have faith in WBK to pull through on just about whatever you need...he's a pleasure to do business with! TWP is also an awesome US based collector. Can't go wrong with either!
