Need help identifying, Gen or Rep

Not even 100$, It's up for auction, was almost certain it was a rep since it's in very poor state, and has no papers, but like I said I'm no expert, just wanted to check, so I know if it's worth bidding more than like 20$

Need help identifying, Gen or Rep

Thought so, thank you all, it's still a good enough starting price to get it cheap and refurbish it up a bit.

Need help identifying, Gen or Rep

Hello all, I've seen this guy selling a woman's Datejust in my country, not the greatest cosmetic condition, but the price is currently good. Need help from some experts more knowledgeable than me if this is a rep or gen. Unfortunately, the seller didn't provide any movement photos.

    can't remove stem on mj-2813

It is most likely this button here I'm not sure its kind of hard to tell I can't see very well. Put the stem in first (or second position if the movement has it) if it's a button just lightly press it. If it's a screw you will need to give it just a few turns (don't unscrew it the whole way just...

    7750 Power Reserve Problem

It is impossible to overwind any automatic movement, these movements are constructed in such a manner to prevent it. I think good 30 - 40 turns should definitely wind it up. But like I said there is no limit to winding it, although by sitting and twiddling the crown all day you could...

    7750 Power Reserve Problem

A gen 7750 should hold power for more than 40 hours, I guess the rep should be more or less similar. Try and wind the watch by hand fully one night, and see how it holds up, the rotor doesn't really wind the watch all that much, it takes a lot of time to fully wind it, especially if you are not...

    Ok Breitling experts.

All points to it being a rep, check out this links: http://www.thewatchforum.co.uk/index.php?/topic/106353-breitling-military-watch/ and http://stores.ebay.co.uk/GoldSmithWorks/FAKE-MILITARY-WATCHES.html?clk_rvr_id=1225852108303&afsrc=1&rmvSB=true You can even look here...

    Breitling dial rong markings

An interesting question came up while I was looking at some of Breitling's watches. I've noticed that some of them have markings on the dial ring that I have not seen before. This is more of a design question than one of replica quality since reps, as I've seen, do follow on their dials. I only...

    What's up with the milgauss?

As far as I get it Rolex grows sapphire themselves, and they use a method which is not precisely known, and a certain chemical formula (you can do a search for it) in order to produce it. I assume most rep makers buy sapphire in bulk since it takes time and money to grow the crystal yourself, it...

Took a quick video of me starting a relume on a painted dial...

Nice job painted dials are definitely the hardest to relume in my mind, takes a steady hand. I'm thinking about doing some relume jobs myself, can you tell me what binding agent do you use?

    Rotor direction

Some movements have rotors that wind in both directions other's (i believe the valjoux 7750 is one of them) wind in only one. As for the power reserve it could be a few things. I'm no expert whatsoever but it might be a gummed up mainspring, it could just need a clean.
