Comparisons of the DeepSea SeaDweller V2, V3, V4 and the gen

I have a V2 i believe from allergydoc, I have a question. Is the crown correct on the V2? I know the Bezel inset is wrong and i am considering replacing that as in bright sunlight it kinda bothers me a bit. Yeah the (anal thang) but the font is really rough on the 30 at the bottom. Wil the newest version of the bezel insert fit in the V2?

Might be worth a try to find a cheap rep DSSD insert; I haven;t tried switching parts between the V3 & V2 though. Not sure. Because of the case construction, my guess would be no.

Maybe someone else has tried & would know better?

Is it me, or is the pearl on all reps a pretty poor version of the gen? My V4 has a glued on pearl, seems too thick as compared to gen - isn't the gen pearl recessed into the bezel? If I'm not crazy, is there a pearl "fix" out there?

All rep pearls are garbage. Always has been--probably always will be.

You can try a regular aftermarket sub pearl.. not too sure if it can fit the DSSD..

Thank you for the nice comparison. One thing would interest me and that is the pearl. I haven't seen a side shot of the pearl. Mine seems to be quite raised and I'd like to compare that to a gen.
