SWISS ETA STOPS please help

hi all i have a upo with a so called swiss eta the problem is it keeps stoping it seems its not charging off the rotor i have had a look and is spinning freely BUT I MUST SAY IT SOUNDS A LITTLE NOISY WHEN IT SPINS if i wind it manualy it will run for 2 days no problem
ANY IDEAS :?:

The first thing to check is that the movement holder screws aren't fouling the rotor and that the rotor itself is correctly screwed in place/securely. Let's know if this doesn't cure the problem... :wink:

THANKS SCONEHEAD i checked the rotor and all is fine i dont know a lot about movements i just love my watches but you can see the 2 small cogs at the behind the rotor turning as the rotor turns but i does not seem to charge

And you're sure you can hear the rotor spinning when the caseback is put back on?

Check if the anti-magnetic cover has come loose and is preventing the rotor from turning properly. That happened to my Planet Ocean so I just got rid of the anti-magnetic cover and it works perfectly now.

The rotor is spinning and it's turning the main spring. Nothing seems to be interfering with it. Hand-winding works well. Hmmm...
Sounds like it's watch smith time. :cry:
