Hennessy or Remy Martin?

I've always had a glass of Hennessy XO neat as my signature drink, but a couple of nights ago, I had some Remy Martin Excellence, and OMG, smooth as butter yet not thick as henny. Whaddya cognac drinkers think?

I also had a glass of some Glenfiddich 18 and being my first glass of single malt, I might pick up a bottle this friday

I prefer the The Hennessy XO the the remy Martin XO.
I find it smoother and more tasty and what a smell !!

I agree that the Hennessy XO has more body, but That Remy, it's a different animal. Mostly when it warms up in your hand, it releases the aromas that I can't seem to distinguish.

i would prefer the Henessy XO but the remy martin is indeed a good choice too, it's a matter of taste

It is not Remi XIII but Louis XIII ... I am not sure he drinks that often .. or even did once lol . If he did, lucky one.

Hennessy is big a company...If you want econic cognac choose A.De. Fussigny, Frapin, Prince Polignac.

I drink mostly RM but also like Henessey though Frapin is my favourite. My parents mostly buy RM so i drink this more often

Have a friend whose dad is one of Remi Martins best suppliers of Cognac. His cognac makes a lovel Summit. I have a bottle of Otard arriving Tuesday. Can't wait.
