Bigger is better - Egiziano 60mm

Folks, want to show you some pics of my new grail. Some of you may know this watch, you can read about the history here and here. Watch is from member Ice_gee, a great guy to deal with BTW. Strap is a "317 strap" from Jose Maria - thick and great vintage look, fits perfect on this huge and heavy timepiece (7.5mm thick, single loose keeper, lug 26/24mm). Buckle is from Roland Kobalia, 24mm made of bronze. Will receive another cool strap in about one or two weeks.

Let's see some pics :thumbsup::

Wow! Beautiful! Though you might want to consider 'vintaging' the movement to match the rest of the watch (unless you have plans to transplant an angelu$ movement?)

Wear it in good health!

This watch is freightening !

I' m sure that it was Captain Nemo's watch when he was in the Nautilus, in Jules Verne's novel. :err:

Thanks guys!

Yeah, Angelus movement would be great, but where to get for an affordable price? ;)

Absolutely beautiful! Too big for me, but I love the concept and the craftsmanship. Did you bead-blast the bezel as part of the process? I'm curious about the beautiful 'rough' look.

Bezel was reshaped by hand and aged with bronze, rust, HL acid, rain, snow, sun and heat (500° C). You can read about the "making of" here: Click!

Glad to see out has found a nice home. All this time I thought it was his personal build.

Great build.

A little update on my Egi. Got a new strap, which I aged and branded with the "N° 35" (case number) by myself. I also filled the indexes "15 - 30 - 45" lightly with red colour.

See some pics:

In addition I aged the bronze buckle with the so called "egg treatment" (two boiled eggs and vinegar together with the buckle into a Tupperware container for 12 hours - gives a great patina :lol:). Here the result:

If it ain't big, it ain't right... :lol:
Thanks for looking, guys.
