Ive got gen 16710 parts. Who do you recommend for sending the midcase for case work to make the crown guards and lugs more gen spec?

Nearer than you think
Guys, a question, is it that difficult to make a 1:1 sterile midcase for 16710? Why did NO ONE make it in EU / US and therefore we have to hope that someone from the other side of the world sends us something for 1100$?

Why No one who has a CAD machine and a workshop thought about it? I don't think it's too difficult if you are competent with CAD and 3D modeling.

far from the price of a genuine case.

everyone is looking at this from the rep buyer side. no one realizes that MQ's customer base are genuine collectors who need replacement parts for their genuine watches. Thus why he can charge a premium and has a large physical storefront in HCMC, along with a big name on the internet.

My apologies for not being more clear. Obviously in comparison to the price of a real 1670 case this is nothing. I meant more like these prices are walking into the realm of the real prices of gen modern Rolexes.

Anyone converted a 16610 case?

Yes, the case is pretty much identical except for the crown guards need to be welded and milled , crown hight changed for the 3185/6 and quite a bit of refinishing. Here’s mine

What if - hear me out - one started with an ARF 904l 16610 base, paired a VR3186, and added gen dial, hands, bezel? Wouldn't it be a cheaper build even if one had to re-engrave the lugs? What else would that build entail in terms of adjustments?

Cant put a 3186 in a sub case... tube off, rotor held up by caseback...

Looks great tbh - aside from the price you guys are seeing its way better than a BP case. Top of the lugs are a bit chunky - it could pass for a fat lady 16760 instead of a 16710 tbh. Maybe I will do that.. get it re-engraved!

For sure it's way better than BP, but is it 900 euro better?

I mean, it's still a piece of rugged unfinished piece of metal, how do they justify the 1100 euro price tag?
