manodeoro : Those dials look amazing!
What will the logistic process look like for the hands? Will you get some hand sets from Seestern or will I need to send you my handset for the reluming process?

I've asked Seestern if the would sell handsets but still no answer
Nevertheless I think the cheapest option is to relume the handset you already have

The Dials look absolutely amazing.
My Seestern should've been here by now.
But for some reason it went through the UK, now it's stuck at customs since the 13th. ????
The silver one looks a lot better than I would've imagined. The Black one too. But the orange one still is my favorite. ????????????

Yobokies sell hands.

May I ask how do you print white? Are you pad printing?

Still not good enough at pad printing ... it's negative-white (black print on a white sprayed dial) plus semi-gloss lacquer.

Thanks buddy ... hope your Seestern don't stay too long in UK.
To be honest I like them all but my favorites are the blacklung and the divingstar.

Though the design of the Seestern SUB 300 T seems to be based on the SUB 300 T 50th Anniversary reissue (Jenny era), a nice member here noticed that it's really close to those produced at the beginning of the Synchron era ... close case design and same bezel (Synchron offered a different one later).

I've searched my Doxa pics archive and I found 2 "transitionnal" SUB 300 t ... beginning of the Synchron era but with still some details from the US Divers era.
So I'm happy to show you thoe 2 watches that inspired that project ... a "Professional" and a "Sharkhunter" with both the Aqualung logo AND the Synchron logo on the dial.
The "Professionnal Aqualung Synchron" is not that difficult to find (pics I mean ... not in real) but the "Sharkhunter Aqualung Synchron" seems to be as rare as hen's teeth.

I've just started working on this but I hope I can show pics of those dials before Christmas time.
And this time I'll show them cased ;)
My own Seestern is on the way and prior to mod it and put it on my wrist I'll use it for some time as a "presentation box".
Of course I won't let it as is ... I'm working on a "caseback engravement project" to :p

For everyone waiting for their Seesterns. I just finished some Doxa mod work on a Seestern and the case is a perfect match to my Synchron Military which I guess is modeled from the Synchron era Subs. Enjoy...

damn that synchron is sexy. So through reading i assume the seestern cases are pretty decent?

It sure is. :)

The Seestern case is amazing for the price you pay. Fit and finish is excellent on all visible parts. In the back you can notice some machining marks and the engraved logo on the case back doesn't look so good. It has a trip lock type crown that screws down solid with a nice feel to it. It also seem to be modeled after a vintage Sub 300T case which is nice for those of us looking to use the case for any franken-doxa project. I have two more on order and haven't been this excited over a watch project in years.

Thank you! I’m just so nervous every time I do it and my hands shake a lot but it’s ok from an arms length away.

Wow this looks like the real deal. Amazing mod, congrats. Now find an expandro bracelet or try to replicate it like i did.

Thanks! I’ve got more on the way. :)

Regarding bracelet, I have already made one as close as I could get. Would be nice with more authentic looking end links thou.

Same here! I did mine using old seiko bors “18mm” i ended up fabricating my endlinks myself, (might be your next project) i did it all by hand, sheetmetal, dremel, pliers, etc etc…. The springs i used came off complete bracelets i found cheap on the bay and the clasps from real expandro bracelets. (Not the doxa style though). I ended up doing like 7 full bracelets, sold 2.

With Halloween coming I thought about making an orange and black dial ... sort of a mix between Aqualung and Sharkhunter

So yesterday evening I designed that one ...
I still need to draw the word "JOKER" to replace the "DOXA" ... making the font looking like the Doxa one ...
