Nice job on your build. The 16800 and early 16610s with O69 DWs are my favorites.

I prefer these older builds because you can't buy them OFTB. Therefore, each one is different and usually a labor of love and source of frustration Lol

Here is one of mine

Nice! Guess you couldn’t find the infamous 168000 datewheel. Still looks great imo.

Gonna work on mine a bit today. Get the new ST hands lumed and installed. May age the lume a bit. It’s a bit too yellow for me may drop a tiny bit of tea on it and some matte sealant so it doesn’t crumble off like some markers on my 1680 did.

Yours looks great. I mean.. it looks exactly like mine so I can’t be wrong right? :)

He and his family sells refinished dials on eBay. His uncle or something makes the dials. He finishes them and then sells them.

They’re not perfect by any means but for the money, they’re a great deal. It’s a good mid grade option between Vietnam dials and raffles lol.

He has much better 1680 and 5513 dials. The 16800 is a new one for him. I bugged the crap out of that guy to make 16800 dials and I guess he listened.

His site is. https://www.mochacha.org

The only place he doesn’t seem to want to ship is Italy. I guess he’s lost quite a bit of parts shipping to Italy.

Anyway, here’s my finished (for real this time lol). Got my ST hands today so I figured I may as well finish it now.

Now, the spec on mine are:

JF16610 with clone 3135 movement, serviced.

Lug holes drilled by JMB.

Case has to be shaped for sure due to lug holes being very close to the edges.

Richview dial. Put a bit of tea on the markers so they’re not neon yellow.

Lumed ST3035 hands (I love these)
ST Sprinbars. I had no idea there were springbars that were as good (if not better) than gen ones but these are amazing.

Removed the gen 3135 DW. They sit to the left and since I can’t source the 168000 DW, I went back with the ARF ones since they like to sit to the right on the window. Now they’re centered.

I think that’s it.

Now I need to get the Tudor sub hands from ST on my 1680. :)
