Over the horizon
Playing with some vintage aftermarket straps today...first up is a velcro/ nylon (complete with protective Velcro-over protective cover!) strap. I remember these being quite a choice item by British Forces in ‘80’s and early ‘90’s. Now very faded, but used to be DPM.

Next up is up is a very old steely blue Nato diver. Hardware is (I think) bronze or copper, and came on the old depth gauge pictured. It was caked in limescale when I received it-strap and hardware. I cleaned it as much as I dare. Love this, but it’s ridiculously long and I can’t bring myself to cut it to size. Is good to go around your ankle if that ever becomes a thing.

I’ve seen some vintage NATO’s on the auction site listed for crazy money-makes me wish I’d saved all the old ones I’ve had over the years!

Looks lovely - it’s a watch I’ve been sorely tempted by, as well as the CWC Diver.
