That was the original plan, until I saw that it was in nearly-NOS condition. Good thing I have one extra 7734 earmarked for future projects!

Good choice mate, that's far too nice to rat for the movement. Love the dial!
is that on a blue strap or is it the lighting?

It's a blue Tropic--that and the gold plated buckle are rarities in my vintage rubber collection! But I've found it a bit difficult to wear, color-wise, so I'm now on basic black.

Brown leather would look good, too.

...Only child here, and fresh arrival. Will plan some work on it, but needed to take a pic to record it as it arrived.

@Donerix - what an impressive collection of vintage Rollies! Can you share any of the details about your GMT Master builds? Also, I love the bakelite inserts on your GMT Master 6542 builds. They look gen! This is a project that I eventually want to tackle myself. I want a 1675 and a 6542 in my watch box someday.

I also love your 1655. Would love to learn the details on that, as well.

You are indeed an artist! :)

Shaved the crystal down some as to not set so high. Aged the hands and dial with ashes and lightly bleached an new insert.

cartel 1680 with some vintaging, of course not accurate as can be but I really love wearing this watch and am really digging the whole vintage Sub world.
I've got my eyes peeled for a proper 1680, 5513 and a GMT whenever they come up for sale. Also really like that this Sub was only $150 and has the wabi sabi of a 30+ watch.

Here's my Puretime 1680 Red sub. Love this watch. This pic is from last fall so it has a little more wear since then (every single day). I didn't have the crown screwed down all the way so that's why it looks like it is sticking out. What I love about it is for this dial vintage, the dial print really is spot on. If you look with magnification you can even see a red print over white effect that the gen Mark 1 / Mark II dials had. Fantastic! My only gripe is the 2846 under the hood has started running pretty fast over the last few weeks. It's up at +4 minutes over 24 hours now.

Here it is with a .50 cal, armor piercing incendiary round just for good measure. ;)

It's like great pleasure to knowing about some elegant and dynamic goats. It's really nice to see some fabulous goat model of various breeds. I have a huge collection of verity types of goats, and I also want to increase more in that counts.
