Rolex 16800 Submariner (franken-build with ST 3035 case!)

    Sharing my latest quick build.
A rare Startime 3035 case was used for this build

    Specs:
    - Gen tritium dial (glossy turned matte)
    - Gen tritium insert
    - Gen 704 crown
    - ETA 2824-2 with H4 wheels/pinion (kindly gifted by Pelagic thank you!)
    - eBay seconds + hour hand with raffles minute hand
    - aftermarket Swiss crystal
    - Clarks 7030 tube
    - Startime 3035 (16800 case)
    - TC V6 bezel assembly
    - TC DWO
    - Raffles 34mm Tudor movement ring

    Next steps:
    1. find TC sub hands
    2. re-position the DWO
    3. re-shape the case

        Should have open 6/9 DWO.

Fantastic build. Those cases are very rare, I have one on my 16803.

Thanks! I would love to see pics of your 16803 build

Actually, all aftermarket open 6/9 DWO have flaws. So i went for a TC DWO because it can correspond to a genuine 16800 with closed 6/9 service date disc; e.g. like these genuine examples from below:

pompompurin The build is a ST 3035 case, in a little rough shape, a genuine 16803 blurple dial, eta 2836, TC hands, ST solid 18k bezel, gen 295c, open 6/9 DWO. A fair deal of money went into this one!

sorry for late reply but that is so elegant! Those TC hands are perfect and adds the final finishing touches to the watch. Finding decent ETA sub hand are hard and looking at your purplish dial makes me smile

I reshaped it and I will polish it when I get back from Easter holiday:

                        How about your 5512 build?
