If you don't mind my asking, from where did you source the parts for your Gilt 5500 (version w/o gen case)? Particularly interested in the origin of the case and crystal. I've been thinking about trying a pseudo-fantasy build using this 34mm oyster case (perhaps) and tracking down a forum member to swap in an appropriately-sized Explorer dial. Would happily absorb wisdom you might be able to impart!

The watch started as a oyster perpetual sold at one time by Silix. They are long gone unfortunately. The dial came from rafflesdials. That is still available. You just need to make sure the dial will fit your case.
