Ruby's is probably your best option: http://www.rubyswatch.com/Products/parts/day-6263 You need to enter a password in order to access Ruby's site. I will PM you the password. Ruby's doesn't currently have a Big Red dial in stock, but they seem to update their stock every few weeks and I have seen that they have regularaly had Big Red dials in stock in the past. I would email them. I think the cost will be around $300-$350 for a dial + 50 shipping.

Yuki is another option, but I think Yuki daytona dials are a step down from Ruby's: https://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/it...9/10282040.htm

FYI, you will need to modify the ST19 movement to fit a gen spec Vietnam dial. hanski posted some information about that here: https://forum.replica-watch.info/for...79#post7157379. There is also a more detailed explanation in this thread over on RWG.cc: https://rwg.cc/topic/136033-modding-...-dial-spacing/

Best of luck!

I noticed that the new cartel subdials actually don’t “bleed” at the 6. My new cartel 6263 PN has a bit of space between the 6 subdial and the outer ring. I noticed that the spacing is slightly different for the Big Red as well. Did they fix the spacing now? Would the mods still be necesssary?

The reason there’s a space is because they’ve reduced the size of the subdials - probably in response to complaints about the subdials bleeding into the outer track. The result is the dial looks even less gen-like. So the mods are still necessary.

We’re can I buy a Daytona with a reliable movement ?

Go to the TD section. See Marvellous Replica’s special offer on the Daytona range. The current crop of cartel vintage Daytona models all run on the Venus 75 (Seagull ST19) movement, which is reliable. Assuming you want a vintage 4-digit Daytona... your post was a bit light on detail.

Where can I get a watch like this?

You need to Get parts to build one.

Most of the watches here (prob all of them tbh) are highly modified/ can’t be ‘bought’ in the way that you’re asking. But...a lot of them began as cartel Daytonas before being modified. Marvellous replica sells these I think, as well as others. Check the TD section/ order a base watch/ read this entire thread whilst waiting for it to arrive. Educate yourself and then either mod yourself or choose a modder on here. Liase with them about which parts you need (hunt down and purchase yourself) & which they might supply (some modders source things like dials). Don’t underestimate the cost involved in getting a watch to that level above though. If budget is really big, you could go for a vn case/ parts and a gen movement.

Seeking advise here for my 6263 project…Any suggestions where to find a gen-like black Bakelite bezel? Is the Cartel one so off?
Thanks

Did you check out the 6263 bezels that Ruby's sells? They look decent.

FYI, if you're planning on fitting a gen spec bezel to a cartel case, you will have to machine a lip off the outer lower wall of the rehaut of the case in order to allow a gen spec bezel to sit flush with the case. The cartel bezel has a step machined into its inner diameter to accommodate the lip on the cartel case, but a gen spec bezel does not have that step, so you either have to remove the lip from the case or machine a step into the gen spec bezel.
