I am in the process of collecting parts for an early 1970's 5513 parts. All the collecting won't happen overnight but I have some the majors bits already.

To my question....I want to use a Rubys 5513 case which does come with its own crown and tube, but I read that the Athaya 702 crown / tube is the most period gen looking available (except for the 3 dots but that is liveable) so my question is should I stick with the crown / tube that comes with Ruby's or buy or replace it with an Athaya 702 crown and tube?

The movement to be used is ETA 2824 with a 2801 set bridge and date wheel removed (fast beat ...but a good workhorse all the same).

Thanks in advance for any answers / advice....

I‘d get a `700 or `702 crown from Adrian.

The one installed by Ruby is a 703 lookalike, so later/ service type.

A 700/702 looks better/thinner.
