Gen thickness is 13.7mm so 14 would be a result!

It looks pretty good to be fair. To me the best part of the gen is that dial, looks like no other watch dial ive ever seen when you see it in person. Even if its 15 or so mm thick i might have to get one and ditch all the useless crap in the back (rotor, autowind etc) and slim it down as close to gen as i can. Very much looking forward to seeing some pics of whoever pulls the trigger first.

Blue doesn't seem gen-like but it's hard to mess up black and white... maybe

The blue definitely doesnt look as dynamic as the gen. also the thickness is over 15mm but if you dont mind manual winding it should be easy enough to make it gen thickness

I have an 8F Deep stream, quality is pretty bad (wrong dial shade, flimsy clasp, poor rubber) compared to the JJF models. I hope this 5500V is much better

I dont have one but this is one hell of a project! Good luck and please show us the results if you got it done!
